Secondo: check the sound. Gently tap the piece: a clear, crisp, and prolonged sound indicates high-temperature baking and the absence of internal cracks. A dull and short sound signals hidden defects and poor durability.

Always choose high-temperature fired ceramics, free from lead and cadmium, and compliant with food regulations. They are heat-resistant, acid-proof, and stain-free, making them ideal for homes, restaurants, and gifts. Avoid low-temperature fired, cheaper ceramics as they are less safe and more prone to scratches and cracks.

Professional maintenance tips: Light surface scratches can be minimized by gently rubbing with a soft cloth and a small amount of toothpaste. Decorative items covered in dust should be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding direct water jets. Store dishes and decorative items separately to reduce mutual wear.
