Ceramics are hard and aesthetic, but without proper daily maintenance, they can develop scratches, cracks, discoloration, and yellow stains. With proper care, ceramic plates and decorative items remain shiny and intact for a long time.

Avoid thermal shock: do not rinse hot ceramics with sudden cold water. A drastic temperature change creates internal stress and causes micro-cracks in the glaze over time. For cleaning, use warm water and neutral detergents with soft sponges or delicate cloths. Metal sponges, stiff brushes, and abrasive powders are prohibited as they scratch the glaze and decorations.

Hand-decorated ceramic items with gold or silver edges should not be placed in the microwave, dishwasher, or sterilizer. The heat and powerful water jets can damage the colors and cause the metal decorations to detach.

Do not stack the pieces too tightly: place paper or soft fabric between items to prevent scratches and impacts. Store in dry and well-ventilated places, away from cooking fumes and moisture, which can cause the enamel to yellow and dull.

For tea and lime stains, avoid aggressive products: soak in warm water with baking soda, or scrub with lemon slices or diluted vinegar. Ceramics not in use for long periods should be cleaned, dried, and stored sealed to prevent dust and moisture.
